Krafton finally announced the first Battlegrounds Mobile India esports tournament called Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021. Moreover, the first tournament released in the India battle royale game in 2021. Battlegrounds Mobile India Series 2021 helps mobile gamers participating in the competition with others and showcase their skills.
The tournament offers an overall prize money of Rs. 1,00,00,000. First prize of Rs. 50,00,000, second prize of Rs 25,00,000, third prize of Rs 10,00,000, fourth prize of Rs 3,00,000, fifth prize of Rs 2,00,000, sixth prize of Rs 1,50,000, seventh prize of Rs 1,00,000, eighth of Rs 90,000, ninth prize of Rs 80,000, tenth prize of Rs 70,000, eleventh prize of Rs 60,000, twelfth prize of Rs 50,000, thirteenth prize of Rs 40,000, fourteenth prize of Rs 30,000, fifteenth prize of Rs 20,000, sixteenth prize of Rs 10,000. Only Indian residents should participate in the tournament.
The tournament will go on for three months, and the registrations will begin on 19 July 2021. The tournament consists of five phases.
- In-game qualifiers (2 August to 8 August)
- Online qualifiers (17 August to 12 September)
- Quarter-finals (16 September to 26 September)
- Semi-finals (30 September to 3 October)
- Grand-finals (7 October to 10 October)

In phase -1, Indian players with Platinum or higher rank can register and play. Moreover, the in-game qualifiers will require players to play 15 matches with their registered team. However, out of 15 matches, the top 10 matches are considered for evaluation. Furthermore, if it is a tie situation takes place. They will consider finishes, survival time, accuracy, and more to decide the qualifying team. A total of 1,024 teams will make it to the next round.
